Getting Started
Overview
Welcome to GlobalTix!
The Merchant Portal is where you manage your products, tickets, bookings and availability — and connect your experiences to more ways to sell.
With GlobalTix, you can:
- Sell directly through your own Online Store.
- Distribute through the GT Marketplace and make your experiences available to reseller partners.
Whether you want to grow direct bookings, expand your distribution, or both, everything starts from the Merchant Portal.
How to Get Started?
Step 1: Create Your Account
Go to Plans & Pricing and choose the plan that best fits your business. Complete your business details and verification. Once your account is ready, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
Step 2: Set Your Password & Log In
Once your account is ready:
- Go to the GlobalTix Merchant Portal
- Click ‘Forgot Password’
- Enter the email address you used to sign up
- Follow the instructions sent to your email to create your password.
- Return to the Merchant Portal and log in with your new password.
Step 3: Set Up MFA
When you log in for the first time, you’ll be asked to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This adds an extra layer of security to your account.
Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.
You’re all set!
Your Merchant Portal is ready to use. Head to Products to start creating and managing your experiences.
Products
What are Products?
A Product is the experience, attraction, tour or activity you want to sell through GlobalTix.
Think of the Product as the main listing for your experience. It contains the information customers and reseller partners need to understand what you offer, including:
- Product name and description
- Images
- Location
- Highlights and what to expect
- Operating hours
- Important information for visitors
For example, your Product could be SkyHelix Sentosa, while the different admission options — such as Adult or Child — are created separately under Tickets.
Once your Product is created, you can add tickets, set availability and choose how you want to sell and distribute it.
How to Create a Product
Before you start, prepare your product name, description, images, operating hours and key experience information.
Step 1: Create a New Product
- Go to Products.
- Click Add New Product.
- Enter your Product Name, Country and City.
Step 2: Add Your Images
Upload:
- 1 main image
- Up to 10 additional images
Choose clear, high-quality images that show customers what they can expect from the experience.
Step 3: Add Your Product Details
Complete the information customers need to understand your experience:
- Category and keywords
- Highlights
- Description
- What to Expect
- Things to Note
- Operating Hours
Keep the information simple, accurate and easy to understand.
Step 4: Add Blockout Dates, If Needed
Closed on certain dates?
Add Blockout Dates to prevent bookings when your experience is unavailable.
- Select the closure dates.
- Add a remark, if needed.
- Save your changes.
Step 5: Save Your Product
Review your product information and click Submit. Your Product is now created!
Next, head to Tickets to create the admission options customers can book.
Manage & Edit Products
Need to update your product information?
- Go to Products.
- Select the Product you want to update.
- Click Edit.
- Make your changes.
- Click Submit to save.
You can update your images, descriptions, operating hours, blockout dates and other product information at any time.
Tickets
What are Tickets?
Tickets are the booking options customers can purchase under a Product.
For example, if your Product is SkyHelix Sentosa, your tickets could include:
- Adult Admission
- Child Admission
- Senior Admission
- Express Pass
Each ticket can have its own price, availability, validity and booking rules, giving you flexibility to offer different options for the same experience.
How to Create a Ticket?
Once you’ve created a product, you can begin creating tickets for customers to purchase.
Step 1: Create a New Ticket
- Go to Manage Product.
- Select your Product.
- Click Tickets.
- Select New Ticket Type.
Step 2: Add Your Ticket Information
Complete the basic information for your ticket:
- Ticket Name — Give your ticket a clear name, such as Adult Admission.
- Ticket Category — Select the appropriate ticket category.
- Variation — Select Adult, Child or Custom.
- Selling Price — Enter the price of the ticket.
- Age Range — Add an age range, if applicable.
- Description — Explain what the ticket includes.
- Terms & Conditions — Add any conditions customers should know before booking.
Use Custom for other ticket variations, such as Senior, Couple, Vehicle or other ticket types specific to your experience.
Step 3: Choose Your Ticket Status
Select the status of your ticket:
- Published — The ticket is available for sale.
- Pending — The ticket is created but not yet available for sale.
- Disabled — The ticket is no longer available for sale.
Step 4: Set Your Visit Date
Choose how customers book their visit:
- Visit Date Not Required — Customers can book without selecting a visit date.
- Visit Date Required — Customers must select a visit date.
- Visit Date with Timeslot — Customers must select both a date and timeslot.
Once a ticket is created with or without timeslots, this setting cannot be changed.
Step 5: Set Your Booking & Ticket Validity
Set when your ticket can be booked and used.
- Advance Booking Cut-Off
Set how far in advance customers need to make their booking. - Ticket Validity
Choose how long the ticket can be used:- Duration — Valid for a set number of days.
- Fixed Date or Period — Valid within a specific date range.
- Visit Date — Valid only on the selected visit date.
- Selling Period – Set the dates when the ticket is available for purchase.
Step 6: Save Your Ticket
Review your settings and click Save.
Your ticket is now created!
Additional Ticket Information (Optional)
Add any other information customers need before booking or using their ticket.
How to Use
Explain how customers should use or redeem their ticket.
Ticket Inclusions
List what is included with the ticket, such as admission, guided tours, transfers or other benefits.
Cancellation Policy
Add the cancellation terms that apply to the ticket.
Booking Requirements
Collect additional information from customers during booking using:
- Free Text
- Multiple Choice
- Date Selection
Multi-Language Support
To add ticket information in another language:
- Go to Manage Ticket → Edit → Multi-Language Settings.
- Select the language.
- Add your translated content.
- Click Save.
Advanced Ticket Settings (Optional)
Advanced Ticket Settings provide greater control over how your tickets are sold and managed.
Most settings are optional and can be configured based on your operational requirements.
Purchase Quantity Limits
Set the minimum and maximum number of tickets that can be purchased in one booking.
Ticket Inventory
Use Ticket Inventory to limit the total number of tickets available for sale.
- Enable Ticket Inventory Limit.
- Save the ticket.
- Return to the ticket list.
- Select Manage Ticket → Top Up.
- Enter the available quantity.
- Click Save.
Inventory will reduce automatically as bookings are confirmed
Booking Notifications
Enable email notifications to receive an alert when a booking is created or cancelled.
Keywords
Add keywords to organise or identify specific ticket types, such as an Add-on ticket.
Booking Notifications
Enable email notifications to receive alerts whenever bookings are created or cancelled.
This is particularly useful for managing staffing and operational resources.
Before enabling notifications, ensure your notification email has been configured in your product settings.
Keywords
Keywords help organise your tickets and support specific sales scenarios.
For example, you can tag a ticket as an Add-on, allowing it to be sold together with a main ticket.
You may also create your own custom keywords for easier ticket management.
Packages
What are Packages?
Packages let you combine two or more existing tickets into one offer.
For example:
- Individual Tickets
- Attraction Admission
- Guided Walking Tour
- Package
- City Explorer Bundle
Packages are useful for creating bundled experiences, seasonal offers, family bundles or multi-attraction passes.
Before creating a package, make sure the products and tickets you want to include have already been created.
How to Create a Package?
Packages combine two or more existing ticket types into a new product that can be sold as a single offering.
Before You Start
Before creating a package, ensure that:
All products have already been created.
The required ticket types have been configured.
The tickets you wish to bundle are active and available.
Step 1: Create a New Package
- Go to Packages.
- Click + New Package.
- Enter a clear Package Name.
Step 2: Add Ticket Variations
Choose the ticket variations you want to offer:
- Adult
- Child
- Custom
Use Custom for other variations such as Senior, Couple or other ticket types specific to your experience.
Step 3: Add Tickets to Your Package
For each variation:
- Click Show Ticket.
- Select Add Ticket Types.
- Choose the tickets you want to include.
- Click Add.
Repeat these steps for each ticket variation in your package.
The Original Price is calculated automatically based on the tickets you’ve added.
Step 4: Add Your Package Information
Complete the information customers need to understand your package:
- Description — Explain what the package includes.
- Terms & Conditions — Add any important booking conditions or requirements.
- Validity — Set how long the package can be used.
For validity, you can choose:
- Duration — Valid for a set number of days.
- Fixed Date or Period — Valid within a specific date range.
Step 5: Publish Your Package
When your package is ready to sell, change the ticket variation status from Pending to Published.
Review your package information and click Save.
Your package is now created and ready to be published to your sales channels.
Manage & Edit Packages
Need to update your product information?
- Go to Packages.
- Select the package you want to update.
- Click Edit.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
You can update:
- Package name
- Description
- Terms & Conditions
- Included tickets
- Package validity
- Ticket variation status
Once your package is ready, head to Publish & Distribute to make it available on your Online Store or GT Marketplace.
Availability & Capacity
Overview
Availability & Capacity controls when customers can book and how many bookings you can accept.
- Availability controls the dates and times your experience can be booked.
- Capacity controls how many guests can book for each date or timeslot.
If your ticket requires customers to select a visit date or timeslot, you’ll need to create a schedule and assign it to the ticket.
Set up Availability & Capacity
Schedules define when your products are available for booking.
Before You Start
Before creating a schedule, ensure that:
- Your product has already been created.
- Your ticket has been configured as Visit Date with Timeslot (if applicable).
Step 1: Create a Schedule
- Go to Manage Product → Schedule.
- Click New Schedule.
- Enter a name for your schedule.
- Select when your schedule should start.
Next, choose your schedule type:
- Rolling 6 Months — Your schedule automatically extends so future dates remain available for booking.
- Fixed End Date — Your schedule ends on a date you choose.
Step 2: Set Your Timeslots
Add the times customers can book.
For example:
- 8:00 AM
- 10:00 AM
- 2:00 PM
After entering each time, click Add and select the days of the week when the timeslot is available.
Step 3: Set Your Capacity
Choose how many guests can book each timeslot:
- Unlimited — Leave the capacity field blank.
- Limited — Enter the maximum number of guests you can accept.
For example, if your 10:00 AM tour can take up to 20 guests, set the capacity to 20.
Once complete, click Save.
Step 4: Assign the Schedule to a Ticket
Your schedule must be linked to the ticket you want it to control.
- Go to Manage Product → Tickets.
- Select the ticket.
- Click Manage Ticket → Edit.
- Scroll to Schedule & Capacity.
- Select your schedule.
- Click Save.
Your ticket will now follow the availability and capacity you’ve set.
Manage Availability & Capacity
Once your schedule is live, you can adjust it whenever your operating hours or capacity change.
View Your Calendar
Go to Manage Product → Schedule → Calendar View.
Select a date to see:
- Timeslots
- Total capacity
- Reserved bookings
- Remaining availability
You can also change the capacity for an individual date directly from the calendar.
Set the capacity to 0 when you need to stop bookings for a particular date or timeslot.
Update Your Regular Schedule
Use Edit Schedule to make changes to your recurring schedule, including:
- Operating days
- Timeslots
- Schedule period
Update Multiple Dates
Use Edit Occurrence when you need to change capacity across a range of dates.
This can be used for changes such as:
- Public or school holidays
- Seasonal operating hours
- Peak periods
- Temporary closures
Add a One-Off Timeslot
Use Add Ad-Hoc Timeslots to add an extra session on a specific date without changing your regular schedule.
For example, you may want to add additional sessions during a holiday or special event.
Additional Schedule Settings
Several optional features are available to help automate operations.
Email Reminders
You can automatically send customers a reminder before their scheduled visit.
Select how many days before the visit the reminder should be sent and preview the email before enabling it.
Seat Management
EMP and SMP Seat Management are available for attractions that use assigned seating or custom venue layouts.
Contact your GlobalTix Account Manager if you need Seat Management enabled.
If you use your own reservation system, you can also speak to your Account Manager about connecting it to GlobalTix via API.
Pricing & Promotions
Overview
Promotions are a great way to encourage bookings, reward customers, and support your marketing campaigns.
GlobalTix offers two types of promo codes:
Single-Use Promo Codes
Unique codes that can only be redeemed once.
Best for:
- Customer compensation
- Giveaway campaigns
- Influencer partnerships
- VIP vouchers
- Customer service recovery
Multi-Use Promo Codes
A shared promo code that can be redeemed multiple times.
Best for:
- Seasonal promotions
- Public campaigns
- Holiday sales
- Newsletter promotions
- Social media marketing
Choose the promotion type that best suits your campaign objectives.
Create Single-Use Promo Codes
Single-use promo codes generate unique voucher codes that can only be redeemed once.
They are ideal for personalised campaigns where each customer receives their own unique code.
Before You Start
Before creating a promotion, ensure:
Your Online Store has been configured.
The products you wish to discount are already published.
You know which sales channel the promotion should apply to.
Step 1: Create a Promotion
Start by creating the promotion that your unique codes will belong to.
- Go to Discounts → Single Use Promo.
- Click + New Discount.
- Enter a name for your promotion.
- Set the Start Date and End Date.
Step 2: Set Your Discount
Choose how much customers will save when they use the promo code.
Select either:
- Percentage Discount — e.g. 10% off
- Fixed Discount — e.g. S$15 off
You can also set a Minimum Spend if customers need to spend a certain amount before receiving the discount.
Step 3: Generate Your Promo Codes
Choose how many unique promo codes you want to create.
For example, entering a quantity of 100 will generate 100 unique codes, with each code redeemable once.
Step 4: Choose Where the Promotion Applies
Set where and how customers can use the promotion.
Choose the:
- Sales Channel — such as Online Store or POS
- Promotion Scope — selected products or the entire transaction
Set the promotion to Enabled when you’re ready for the codes to be used.
Step 5: Save & Export Your Codes
Click Save to create your promotion.
To download your promo codes:
- Return to Single Use Promo.
- Select the promotion and click View.
- Click Export.
An Excel file containing your generated promo codes will be downloaded for you to distribute.
Create Multi-Use Promo Codes
Multi-use promotions let multiple customers redeem the same promo code, making them ideal for wider marketing campaigns.
Step 1: Create a Promotion
Start by creating the promotion and the code customers will use.
- Go to Discounts → Multi Use Promo.
- Click + New Discount.
- Create your promo code, such as SUMMERPROMO.
- Set the Start Date and End Date.
Step 2: Set Your Discount
Choose the offer you want to give customers:
- Percentage Discount
- Fixed Discount
You can also set a Minimum Spend before the promotion can be used.
Step 3: Set a Redemption Limit
If you want to limit how many times the promotion can be used, enter a Maximum Redemption.
For example, setting the maximum redemption to 100 means the promotion can be applied to the first 100 successful transactions.
Step 4: Choose Where the Promotion Applies
Choose the Sales Channel where customers can redeem the code.
Then select whether the promotion applies to:
- Selected Products
- Entire Transaction
Step 5: Save Your Promotion
Review your settings and click Save.
Your promo code is now ready for customers to use during checkout.
Manage Promotions
Once a promotion is running, you can update its settings or disable it when the campaign ends.
Step 1: Find Your Promotion
Go to Discounts, select the promotion you want to manage and click Edit.
Step 2: Update Your Promotion
Depending on the promotion, you can update:
- Promotion dates
- Discount value
- Minimum spend
- Redemption limits
- Promotion status
Step 3: Disable a Promotion
When you no longer want customers to use a promotion, change its status to Disabled and save your changes.
Publish & Distribute
Overview
Once your products are set up, you can choose where you want to sell them.
With GlobalTix, you can:
- Online Store — Sell directly to customers through your own Online Store.
- GT Marketplace — Distribute your products to reseller partners across the GlobalTix network.
Creating a product or package does not automatically make it available for sale. Follow the steps below to publish it to your preferred sales channel.
Publish to Online Store
Publish your products to your Online Store to make them available for customers to book directly.
Step 1: Select Your Product or Package
Go to Channel Manager → Online Store and select the product or package you want to publish.
Step 2: Select What You Want to Sell
Choose the ticket or package variations you want to make available, such as Adult, Child, Senior or Per Pax.
Step 3: Set Your Selling Price
Enter or review the selling price for each variation.
Step 4: Publish
Review your settings and publish your changes.
Your product or package is now available on your Online Store.
Publish to GT Marketplace
Publish your products to the GT Marketplace to make them available to reseller partners across the GlobalTix network.
Step 1: Select Your Product or Package
For a product, go to Products → Manage Product → Ticket and select the ticket you want to publish.
For a package, go to Packages and select the package you want to publish.
Step 2: Open Distribution
Click Distribution.
Under Standard Pricing, click Edit.
Step 3: Set Your Selling Price
Enter your selling price and click Update.
Repeat this for all variations you want to distribute, such as Adult, Child, Senior or Per Pax.
Your product or package is now available on the GT Marketplace.
Set a Special Price for a Reseller
If you want to offer a different price to a specific reseller:
- Go to Advanced Distribution.
- Click Add Distribution.
- Select the reseller.
- Enter the selling price.
- Save your changes.
Bookings
Overview
Bookings gives you one place to view and manage bookings received for your experiences.
Depending on your setup, bookings may come from your Online Store, GT Marketplace, Point of Sale (POS), or Direct Sales.
From here, you can check booking details, access customer tickets and manage booking requests.
View Bookings
Use the Bookings page to find a reservation and check its booking, customer and ticket details.
Step 1: Go to Bookings
Go to Bookings from the main menu to view your booking list.
You’ll see key information for each booking, including:
- Transaction Status
- Customer Name
- Date Issued
- Sales Channel
- Transaction Number
Step 2: Open a Booking
Once you’ve found the booking you need, open it to view the full details.
Click the Eye icon under Actions or select the Transaction Number.
Here, you can review the booking details, customer information and tickets purchased.
Manage Bookings
Once a booking has been made, you may need to resend a ticket, change a visit date or manage a cancellation. Open the booking to access the available actions.
Resend an E-ticket
If a customer needs another copy of their ticket, you can resend the e-ticket directly to their email address.
Select Resend E-ticket and confirm the customer’s email address.
Download an E-ticket
If you need a copy of the customer’s ticket, you can download it directly from the booking.
Select Download E-ticket to download the ticket as a PDF.
Share a Ticket
You can also send the customer a direct link to access their ticket.
Copy the Ticket URL and share it with the customer.
Reschedule a Visit
For bookings with a visit date, you can move the booking to another available date.
Click the Calendar icon, select the new available date and confirm the change.
Revoke a Booking
If an issued ticket needs to be cancelled, you can revoke it so that it can no longer be redeemed.
Select Revoke Booking and confirm the action.
Once revoked, the ticket can no longer be used and the action cannot be undone. Revoking a booking does not automatically process a refund.
Update Payment Collection
If a booking requires payment reconciliation, you can update its payment collection status from the booking.
Select the appropriate Payment Collection status and save your changes.
