Partner updates

Here’s everything that changed on the GlobalTix’s platform and APIs this quarter. Questions? Contact our API Connect team at [email protected].

⚠️ Action needed

Migrate transaction/revoke → transaction/cancel by 31 Dec 2026

What’s changing: The new transaction/cancel API handles every cancellation scenario in one place. The older transaction/revoke and ticket/revoke APIs will be retired on 31 December 2026, and calls to them may fail after that date.

What to do: Move all cancellation calls to transaction/cancel before 31 December 2026.

Pull all pricing from Check Event Availability (CEA)

What’s changing: Products priced by date and time slot are now on Dynamic Pricing. What used to be several product options is now one option, and Product Options no longer returns pricing for these products.

What to do: Take real-time availability and pricing from CEA for all products, both Dynamic and non-Dynamic.

🆕 New products to ingest

Add eSIMs to your catalogue

What’s changing: Travellers increasingly want eSIMs and in-destination data top-ups, and now you can sell them alongside your tickets and experiences. eSIMs for different destinations are bookable through the same APIs you already use, so there’s no new integration to build from scratch.

  • Delivery: the activation code is on the voucher, with nothing extra for the customer to enter.
  • Activation: the plan activates when the customer lands and connects to a local network, and they get an SMS.
  • Webhooks (optional): subscribe to activation status to show it to your customers.
  • Usage API (new): pull data usage into your own app.
  • Top-ups: via the same booking APIs, anytime during the trip.

What to do:
Integrate the eSIM booking flow and add eSIMs to your catalogue. Contact your account manager for onboarding and pricing.

Ingest GlobalTix Exclusive Products

What’s changing: GlobalTix Exclusive Products are bookable only through GlobalTix, or sourced directly from merchants, giving your customers inventory they won’t find on other platforms.

The Product List API (/api/product/list) now returns an isGTExclusive flag so you can find and add them easily. They also appear under “GT Exclusives” in the Partner Portal.

What to do: Ingest all products where isGTExclusive is true.

🔧 Check your integration

Support up to 10 variants per option (rolling out)

What’s changing: Product options can now have up to 10 variants, up from 3. For example, Adult, Child, Senior, Youth, Infant, or 4- to 20-seater transfers.

What to do: Check that your data model and UI handle more than 3 variants.

Adopt the new error fields from 15 Nov 2026

What’s changing: All API error responses are getting three updates:

  • Standard error code (new field): the underlying reason for the error.
  • Error message: rewritten so it can be shown directly to end customers.
  • Error details: explains the cause and whether the booking can be retried.

The legacy error code field stays until 30 September 2027, then will be retired.

What to do: Build error and retry handling on the standard error code and error details, and migrate off the legacy field before 30 September 2027.

More pricing fields in CEA (Live)

What’s changing: CEA will return merchant currency pricing. These fields are additive, so nothing breaks.

FieldReturns
originalMerchantPriceOriginal merchant price
recommendedMerchantSellingPriceRecommended merchant selling price (RSP)
minimumMerchantSellingPriceMinimum merchant selling price (MSP)
directContractPriceDirect contract price
directMerchantContractPriceDirect merchant contract price
New CEA endpoint by Product Option ID (ETA October 2026)

What’s changing: A new endpoint will return availability and pricing for every ticket in a product option: Product Option ID, Ticket ID, variant name, availability, reseller-currency nett price, and merchant-currency RSP, MSP, OP and direct contract price.

What to do: Nothing yet. We’ll share the full spec and exact date shortly.

Flexible Q&A formats (November 2026)

What’s changing: Q&A will accept answers in multiple formats and standardize them for you. For pick-up locations, send an address, latitude/longitude, or a Google Maps link.

Translated variant names (live)

What’s changing: The Product Options API now returns variant (translated), with the variant name in the requested language.

Packages book like standard tickets (live)

What’s changing: Packages are booked through the same Product Options, CEA and Booking APIs as standard tickets, and delivered as one PDF. Product Options returns both by default, so no separate handling is needed.
