GlobalTix Closes Series B Funding of S$6.5M Led By Tin Men Capital

Round led by returning lead investor Tin Men Capital, with participation from SEEDS Capital, ORZON Ventures, and a US-based family office — fuelling AI-driven product innovation and continued APAC expansion

SINGAPORE — 14 October 2024 — GlobalTix, a ticketing software provider and marketplace distribution platform for the tourism industry, today announced the close of a S$6.5 million Series B funding round led by Singapore-based venture capital firm Tin Men Capital. The round also welcomed participation from SEEDS Capital, the investment arm of Enterprise Singapore; ORZON Ventures, a Thailand-based VC fund managed by 500 Thailand; and a US-based family office.

Since its founding in 2013, GlobalTix has grown into the largest ticket aggregator in Southeast Asia, with more than 150,000 experiences, 12,000 travel agents, and 12 million tickets issued annually running through its platform. The company now operates from 10 offices across Asia — including China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam — giving it deep on-the-ground presence in the region’s most important tourism markets.

GlobalTix has established itself as the preferred ticketing and channel manager partner for some of the most recognised attractions in APAC and beyond, including Jewel Changi Airport, Mount Faber Leisure Group, Taman Safari Indonesia, and Merlin Entertainments. The platform has played a central role in streamlining operations and elevating the visitor experience for these venues at scale.

Fuelling the Next Chapter: AI and Global Expansion

The new capital will accelerate GlobalTix’s expansion plans, with a particular focus on AI-driven solutions designed to push the company further ahead in an increasingly competitive travel tech landscape. Investments will go toward predictive analytics for trend identification and pricing optimisation, deeper traveller engagement tools for attractions, and continued geographic expansion across Asia-Pacific.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our long-standing investors — especially Tin Men Capital, who have been integral to our growth as we’ve tripled in size — and we’re equally pleased to welcome new investors including ORZON Ventures,” said Chan Chee Chong, CEO of GlobalTix. “This investment will let us strengthen our foothold across APAC and expand our market access. We’ll also be deploying AI and predictive analytics to identify trends and optimise pricing for our partners in the tours and activities space, and to enhance the way travellers interact with attractions.”

Tin Men Capital, which first invested in GlobalTix in 2018, returns as lead investor for this round.

“Since we invested in 2018, GlobalTix has grown to become the largest tour aggregator in Southeast Asia while becoming cash flow positive,” said Jeremy Tan, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Tin Men Capital. “Their performance, capital efficiency, and resilience inspired investor confidence to return in this round and back the team to scale further. We’re excited to help the company build on its momentum and continue leading innovation in the travel tech industry.”
